Jewish Family Services (JFS) is launching its fall appeal for donations.

The Lewis and Shirley White Theatre at The J will open its 2023-24 season with Stephen Sondheim’s “Into The Woods.”

In the wake of the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel by Hamas, the Jewish Community Relations Bureau|American Jewish Committee Kansas City (JCRB|AJC) organized a special briefing on Israel featuring past AJC CEO David Harris.

The KU Jewish community and allies came together on the evening of Oct. 10 to hold a vigil in support of Israel, coordinated by organizations including Students Supporting Israel (SSI), KU Hillel, KU Chabad, and AEPi and ZBT fraternities.

KCteen, an independent Jewish Youth group in Kansas City, is partnering with JFS to bring a new mental health resource to the Kansas City community. 

In the coming weeks, KU Hillel will host a “Playdate with Baby Jay” event for its alumni and its annual Rock Chalk Shabbat for students, families and supporters.

Kehilath Israel Synagogue (K.I.) will hold its 47th annual Grand Givers event with the theme “Around the World in Song; An Afternoon Musicale.”

Jewish Family Services (JFS) will be collecting donations to stock its food pantry at the annual Kansas City MINI Club’s Coopers and Coffee event this Sunday, Oct. 22.
