Jerry Seinfeld will perform at the T-Mobile Center in Kansas City on Jan. 18 with fellow comedian Jim Gaffigan.
The Kansas City stop on their 10-arena 2025 tour still has tickets available.
Seinfeld is one of the best-known Jewish comedians alive today. His eponymous TV show (which featured Jewish actors including Jason Alexander, Jerry Stiller and Estelle Harris) is regarded as a legendary sitcom and rocketed him to fame in the 1990s. It was co-created with Jewish comedian Larry David.
Since 1998, when his sitcom ended, Seinfeld has made multiple comedy specials, films such as “Bee Movie” and “Unfrosted,” and his web series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” He has won an Emmy Award, a Golden Globe Award, has been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards and received multiple honorary doctorates.
In addition to parts of his Jewish identity being incorporated into his comedy, Seinfeld made clear his support of the Jewish people and Israel in the wake of the Oct. 7 massacre.
“My heart is breaking from these attacks and atrocities,” Seinfeld wrote on Instagram. “But we are also a very strong people in our hearts and minds. We believe in justice, freedom and equality. We survive and flourish no matter what. I will always stand with Israel and the Jewish people.”
Gaffigan is an acclaimed comedian, often integrating themes of family, food and religion. He has been featured in many TV series and movies, and is well-known for his stand-up comedy tours and specials.
