The New Reform Temple’s Torah Tots, a program for children ages 1 to 4-and-a-half and their parents, is offered free of charge to the entire Jewish community.
Membership to NRT is not required for Torah Tots.
Torah Tots sessions occur monthly, with the next one starting on Sunday, Sept. 22. The program introduces young children to Judaism through arts, crafts and other activities.
“The earlier a child begins a Jewish education; the more effective it is,” Rabbi Alan Londy said about Torah Tots. “Our synagogue believes that every Jewish child deserves Jewish nurturing. We are committed to making this available to every Jewish child in Kansas City.”
Since 1967, NRT has offered religious education experiences through The Marion and Henry Bloch Religious School to children from pre-K through confirmation in the 10th grade. The program is taught by professional teachers with years of classroom experience and is integrated into the life of the congregation. Throughout the year, family-oriented programs are offered connected to Shabbat and Jewish holidays. The school also offers one-on-one individual Hebrew tutoring online.
