Congregation Beth Torah has recruited Sara Glass, a community member who recently returned from living in California, as the new director of its Weiner Religious School.

Glass previously served at Beth Torah for years before moving to California to further her career. While living in the San Francisco Bay Area, she maintained synagogue life, managing a religious school, continuing development of student engagement techniques and advancing her professional and creative skills.

“Sara has a wonderful combination of creative energy, a positive drive and a solid commitment to Jewish Education,” said Beth Torah Executive Director Damien Timms. “She is excited to be coming back to the Greater Kansas City Jewish Community and Beth Torah, as we are excited for her arrival. She has fond memories of her time here, and is looking to create new memories, as well as deliver on the goal of a well-rounded Jewish experience for all our students in our Weiner Religious School.”

Working in partnership with the Talmud Torah Education Committee, Glass and her Beth Torah partners will deliver a year of education that will focus on experiences of both individual students and the community, while also continuing to develop and grow the school.

Questions regarding the Weiner Religious School can be directed to Timms via the Beth Torah website (beth-torah.org) or by calling (913) 498-2212.
