Ram’s Cafe, a Vaad-certified kosher eatery in The J, has announced new summer hours and meals.
Run entirely by volunteers, Ram’s Cafe has grown beyond its original function of supporting Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy (HBHA) students. Because of demand and the support of volunteers, the cafe will be open throughout the summer with a variety of options.
Starting this week, Ram’s Cafe will be open every Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. throughout the summer. Foods such as the cafe’s signature Greek salad, garden salad and peeled hard-boiled eggs (as well as chips, candy and assorted beverages) will remain for sale, and Kaday Kyaw’s kosher fresh sushi will remain available on Thursdays (preorders are required).
Also new this summer will be homemade fleishig (meat) meals made by Kim Matsil of Kim’s Kreations such as Thai chicken salad, beef bulgogi, chicken shawarma and spring rolls. The meals will change weekly.
Information about preorders (necessary for sushi and hot meals) and prices is available at hbha-pto-rams-cafe.square.site.
