Jewish Family Services (JFS) will host its Summer Splash open house, which will include summer activities and learning opportunities about the organization.

The event will be held on Thursday, May 30, at the JFS Brookside Office (425 E. 63rd St., Kansas City, MO 64110) from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Treats, music, fun and games for kids and adults, tours of JFS Brookside operation and pop-up volunteer activities for those served by JFS will be available. Community partners will be on hand to provide various resources.

Summer Splash kicks off JFS’ Wipe Out toilet paper drive for its food pantry. Guests are asked to bring rolls of toilet paper with them to jump start the effort. This year’s goal for the summer Wipe Out drive is collecting 3,000 rolls, which covers one month of toilet paper the JFS Food Pantry distributes to clients. The first 3,000 rolls of toilet paper donated will be matched by Cargo Largo, a discount retail store.

The honorary chairs and “Big Splash” sponsors are Carol and Arnold Caviar and their family. Event co-chairs are Erika Saleski and Jo Taylor. Presenting sponsors are Mary McLean and the Saleski family. Summer Splash teen ambassadors will also help with the event.

The entire community is invited to attend. More information on Summer Splash is available at jfskc.org/summer-splash.
