Jewish Family Services (JFS) will be collecting donations to stock its food pantry at the annual Kansas City MINI Club’s Coopers and Coffee event this Sunday, Oct. 22.
JFS staff will be at the Jewish Community Campus (5801 W. 115th St., in Overland Park, KS 66211) from 10 to 11 a.m. to take donations from the public.
The Kansas City MINI Club, an organization for enthusiasts of vintage and new MINI cars, has selected JFS and other area nonprofits to support during this event. Each year, members of the club cruise through the greater Kansas City area and drop off donated items specific to each agency’s mission. This year, they are providing household cleaning supplies for the JFS pantries.
The JFS pantry is also in need of canned soups, hygiene items and pet food at this time. Any and all items are appreciated. Any unopened food, household or personal hygiene item within a year of the "best by” date is also appreciated.
Donations can also be dropped in the JFS barrel located in the lobby of the Jewish Community Campus during business hours or at the JFS Brookside Pantry in the donation barrel at the back of the building (425 E. 63rd St., Kansas City, MO 64110).
Donations can also be shipped directly to JFS by purchasing from the “JFS Pantry” Wish List on Amazon.
