Organizers for Jewish Culture Fest are in search of volunteers to help with this year’s event.

Culture Fest, which is presented by Jewish Federation of Greater Kansas City, comes to the Jewish Community Center on Sunday, Oct. 15.

Over 400 volunteer positions are currently available, from set up and tear down assistance for the artists displaying their works to ticket sales at the entrance of the event. Other positions within specific areas are also available. Those interested in learning more about electric vehicles could sign up to assist in “Electric Avenue,” while someone who enjoys working with children could volunteer in the family pavilion as a project helper, gaga pit attendant or game manager.

“The Jewish Culture Fest is an event that brings our entire community together, and it would not happen without the help of generous volunteers,” Linda Sander, Culture Fest volunteer co-chair, said. “There are so many different opportunities to help, from working at the admission gate to helping a food vendor or working in the Family Pavilion with the children's activities. As a volunteer co-chair, I am amazed at the response from our community. We can't wait for another successful event this year.”

Individuals and groups are invited to sign up. Volunteers must be high school aged or older, and specific roles require adults 21 or older.

“We welcome groups to sign up, particularly for set-up on Sunday morning and tear-down after the festival ends,” Sander said. “This would be a great opportunity for community service hours. Please contact me at for information on how to sign up as a group.”

Volunteers at Jewish Culture Fest will receive access to the event and a t-shirt. They must be available for one of two volunteer orientations, held on Monday, Oct. 9, or Tuesday, Oct. 10. More information and volunteer sign up can be found at thejkc.org/volunteer
