Jewish Family Services staff serve the community every day through its KesherKC programs and food pantries, mental health services and counseling, spiritual care and family life education offerings, and older adult and care management services and programs.
On Friday, June 2, JFS will host a summer block party to thank its clients for the opportunities they provide them to make the community a better place to live. The block party will take place from 4 to 6 p.m. in the parking lot at the JFS Brookside Office, 425 E. 63rd Street, Kansas City, MO 64110. JFS will provide summer treats, activities, and the opportunity to mingle with partner community organizations. All JFS clients are invited to attend.
The block party coincides with the first JFS Neighbor Market for the summer, a farmer’s market-style event where the public is invited to come and pick up fresh produce and other perishables from the pantry. JFS staff will also be on hand to provide information on various programs and answer questions about all the agency has to offer.
“All of our clients are invited to join us for this fun event,” said Maggie Haghirian, JFS chief program officer. “Come learn about our programs, register for some fabulous prizes, and pick up your free produce.”
