Nearly 100 people attended the recent community Purim day celebration, which was offered in person at Village Shalom and virtually.
Participants enjoyed an engaging program that included songs led by Hazzan Ben Yehuda and Rabbi Scott White, a welcome and d’var Torah offered by Rabbi Moshe Grussgott, a short study opportunity with Rabbi David Glickman, and a creative and energetic reading of the Megillah led by Rabbis Caitlin Brazner, Larry Karol, Beryl Padorr, and Jonathan Rudnick.
Those attending in person were served lunch, and all attendees received a shalach manot bag. The celebration was sponsored by the Rabbinical Association of Greater Kansas City in collaboration with Village Shalom and the Heritage Center at The J. It was generously supported by the Flo Harris Supporting Foundation of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Kansas City.
