The National Council of Jewish Women of Greater Kansas City, a grassroots organization of volunteers and advocates who act on progressive ideals, is updating its membership year to match its fiscal year of July through June.

As a result of the change, those who are not currently a member of NCJW Kansas City section can join in February and receive membership for the rest of 2022-23 and the entire 2023-24 year. This would include an additional five free months of annual dues.

Inspired by Jewish values, NCJW strives for social justice through improvement of the quality of life for women, children, and families and by safeguarding individual rights and freedoms. Locally, NCJW has been working for more than 100 years to impact the greater Kansas City area through diverse programs, community service, and advocacy.

Last year, NCJW of Kansas City provided clothing and school supplies to over 400 elementary children, 40 layette baskets for babies, and 1,200 birthday books to schoolchildren, and it awarded scholarships to graduating seniors.

The $40 annual fee must be paid during February 2023 to get the additional five free months. The memberships of those who join in February would expire on June 30, 2024.

Lifetime memberships are also available for $360. NCJW calls lifetime memberships “an investment in the future and will allow you to access all our great events without the worry of renewing.”

NCJW is open to all religions, races, and genders, and the fee is tax deductible. More information is available at kansascity.section.ncjw.org or on Facebook at facebook.com/ncjwofkc. Questions can be directed to the NCJW office at 913-648-0747 or by email at .
