Congregation Beth Torah will welcome Rabbi Taylor Poslosky, previously of Overland Park, Kansas, to the pulpit for services on Friday, Jan. 27.
Beth Torah is excited to “welcome one of their own” to the pulpit, as Rabbi Poslosky grew up at Beth Torah.
Rabbi Poslosky currently serves as assistant rabbi at Congregation Shalom in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and is a 2021 graduate of the Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion.
Rabbi Poslosky grew up in Overland Park, Kansas, and her family made their home at Congregation Beth Torah.
According to Beth Torah, from her earliest religious school days, Rabbi Poslosky was a bright and enthusiastic student. She took her studies seriously and became a bat mitzvah and confirmand at Beth Torah. She was involved in all aspects of congregational life, worked as a madricha (teaching assistant) all through her high school years, and was a leader in both the Junior Youth Group and Beth Torah Temple Youth, holding many positions of leadership.
Rabbi Poslosky will share the pulpit with Beth Torah Music Director Lezlie Zucker and, the members of the pre-kindergarten and kindergarten class will be participating in the worship.
Worship will begin at 6:30 p.m. Following the service, Rabbi Poslosky's former teachers will host an Oneg Shabbat in her honor and in honor of Beth Torah's Weiner Religious School’s youngest students.
