Throughout the month, Jewish Family Services is asking the public for donations of their favorite spreadables including peanut butter, jelly, honey, and other non-perishable items for its “Spread the Love” drive.
Spreadables are a staple in the JFS food pantry, going to help those who battle hunger. Each month, JFS provides more than 800 families with food and other household items.
JFS aims to collect 2,000 jars of spreadables to stock the pantry shelves at its two locations at the Jewish Community Campus and in Brookside.
Additional drop-off opportunities include the Communitywide Food Drive on Sunday, Feb. 20, at the Overland Park campus, and any weekday during business hours in the lobby of the campus.
Those interested in donating can visit jfskc.org/spread-the-love/ for more information on donation opportunities.
