The Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City is excited to announce that it will be sponsoring local Jewish teen athletes and artists to participate in the 2022 JCC Maccabi Games hosted by the JCC of San Diego, July 31-August 5, 2022.
Team Kansas City is starting to form now. Interested parents and teens who have not participated previously are invited to attend an informational meeting on Sunday, December 19 at 4:30 pm in the board room at the Jewish Community Campus.
The JCC Maccabi Games is an Olympic-style sporting competition held each summer in North America and one of the largest organized sports programs for Jewish teens (ages 13-16) in the world. This week-long, multi-sport and cultural event will utilize high-quality venues and feature competitions in various sports such as baseball, basketball, soccer, ice hockey, volleyball, table tennis, swim, tennis, golf, e-gaming and competition dance.
Team Kansas City is looking for Jewish athletes to form full or partial sports teams or compete in individual sports. The week of competition is enriched by a wide array of cultural and social activities.
