It was a wonderful night of music, food, drink, and friendship at Kehilath Israel Synagogue’s 45th annual fundraiser Grand Givers at the Johnson County Arts & Heritage Center on October 3.
Guests were able to enjoy the venue both inside and on the outside patio. Hors d'oeuvres prepared by Cathy Levin and her crew at Kosher Connection were provided. Tom’s Town Distilling Company tended bar and mixed specialty drinks for attendees. The music, performed by Kansas City’s renowned Funk Syndicate, featured synchronized vocals, horns, strings, keyboard, and drums.
Sommelier and K.I. member Aaron Fry treated gold ticket holders to a taste of several unique Israeli wines and an informational session on some of the premium vineyards active in Israel. Gold ticket holders also were given a private tour of the Johnson County Museum.
Kehilath Israel Synagogue, along with Grand Givers chairs Drs. Michael and Shari Sokol, thank committee members and all who participated in the evening. Special thanks go to the evening’s corporate sponsors: Excel Linen Supply, Kathleen’s Flowers, and Security Bank of Kansas City.
