During the interactive virtual workshop, parents and caregivers will learn practices to help with the challenges of parenting and valuable techniques to implement into their family’s daily life.
Mindful Parenting can help parents manage stress, better care for their own well-being, and nurture the parent-child connection. The workshop will be facilitated by Wendy Anderson and Lauren Glass, both licensed clinical social workers with JFS.
“In a world that is constantly forcing us to hurry up, it is beneficial to find a way to slow down, tune in and recharge,” Lauren Glass said. “Small changes can make a big difference towards parenting with awareness, connection and presence”, expressed Wendy Anderson.
Anderson primarily works with children and families with an emphasis on family systems, cognitive-behavioral and play therapy approaches. In all of these methodologies, she strives to help people learn how to help themselves.
Registration for the Mindful Parenting Workshop is required at www.jfskc.org. Confirmation and a final Zoom link will be sent after registration.
