Jeffrey and Julie Spiegel are proud to announce that their son, Daniel Spiegel, earned the rank of Eagle Scout on March 25, 2021. He was recognized at his Troop’s Eagle Court of Honor on May 16, 2021.

Daniel began his scouting journey in 2013 as a Tiger Cub in Pack 3476 in the first grade at Harmony Elementary School. He was awarded the Arrow of Light and crossed over to Troop 10 on February 15, 2018.

While a Boy Scout, Daniel has so far earned 39 merit badges and received both the Aleph and Ner Tamid Religious Awards. He is a Foxman in the Tribe of Mic O Say and an Ordeal member of the Order of the Arrow.

For his Eagle Project, Daniel organized a LEGO collection and led a team of volunteers to separate, inspect, clean, sort and package them for The Giving Brick. Daniel’s Eagle Project resulted in collecting 44 pounds of loose LEGOS (approx. 20,000 pieces) that The Giving Brick could potentially create more than 100 sets for the children of CASA. Additionally, 14 new sets and 23 used sets were donated.

Daniel is an eighth grade honor student at Harmony Middle School. He is involved in track & field, baseball, basketball, and soccer. He plays the bass clarinet in the school band. He is a madrich for the The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah Sunday School and is involved in Kesher and BBYO.

Daniel is the grandson of Victor and Paula Suroff and Carolyn and the late Robert Spiegel.  Daniel is the third generation in his family to participate in Scouting and the first to achieve the rank of Eagle.
