Congregation Beth Torah and Rabbi Monica Kleinman, director of lifelong learning, are proud to announce a series of playground dates for those who are currently enrolled or interested in joining the Weiner Religious School. The Weiner Religious School is open to all KC-area Jewish families regardless of their membership at CBT.

Rabbi Kleinman said CBT’s Weiner Religious School had a very successful virtual year in 2020-21 with their family-based model, but missed the hallway and parking lot conversations and the play-based learning with peers. These upcoming Sunday morning events aim to give students the opportunity to see their religious school friends and meet new friends, and for adults to socialize with one another.

Rabbi Kleinman will greet families with children in specific grade levels on certain days to create a more intimate experience, which is a hallmark of CBT’s program. Rabbi Kleinman will be present to answer questions about the Weiner Religious School program, faculty, community, and the latest COVID-19 procedures.

The meet ‘n greets take place at Meadowbrook Park Grand Pavilion Shelter from 10:00-11:30 a.m. Four dates are available for various age groups: June 6 for rising fourth and fifth graders; June 27 for rising second and third graders; July 11 for rising kindergarten and first graders; and August 1 for three- and four-year-olds.

Rabbi Kleinman can be reached at with questions.
