A post on the Big Sonia Movie Instagram account (@bigsoniamovie) recently announced that, thanks to a generous donation, they are now a third of the way to raising the funds needed to make an interactive hologram of the film’s star, Sonia Warshawski.

At 95, Warshawski is one of the last remaining Holocaust survivors in Kansas City. An interactive hologram would help preserve her story and experiences, and allow people to have “conversations” with her.

“We had given up on this dream a while ago because it was cost-prohibitive but now our dreams seem within reach!” the post stated.

Anyone who is interested in making a donation, or who knows of any grants or foundations that would be willing to fund the rest of the money needed for a Big Sonia hologram, are asked to email .
