Brian Carter, a member of Alpha Epsilon Pi at the University of Missouri, will rock in a chair for 63 straight hours in downtown Columbia in an effort to raise money for the American Cancer Society. Carter will rock from today thru April 17.
Started in 1969, the event house has raised more than $1 million combined. This year, Rock-A-Thon will highlight lung cancer. Lung cancer is by far the leading cause of cancer death among both men and women, making up almost 25% of all cancer deaths. Each year, more people die of lung cancer than colon, breast, and prostate cancers combined.
Every donation counts. It’s a global priority to try to stop the spread of COVID-19. Yet, cancer patients still need you. They still need us. Because cancer research can’t stop. American Cancer Society’s 24/7 helpline can’t stop. Where we can, we’re continuing our support to get patients the care they need. Because cancer doesn’t stop, neither do we. We need you to continue the fight against cancer. Donate today at 2021 AEPi Rock-A-Thon (https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/aepirockathon)
