Congregation Ohev Sholom will not allow COVID-19 or cold weather to interfere with our celebration of Purim with our congregants.

Our board of directors and sisterhood are providing Mishloach Manot bags for all members.  The bags will be distributed through scheduled drive-in pick-up dates in the Ohev parking lot and personal delivery for those members unable to leave their residences.

Lynne Feinberg’s granddaughter, Dahlia Feinberg, assembled the colorful bags that include a mask and lots of edibles including, of course, hamantaschen purchased and delivered from Stern’s bakery in Brooklyn, New York.

In addition, Ohev Sholom’s Purim celebration will be held via Zoom on Feb. 25 at 5:30 p.m.  We’ll have a virtual Purim parade and virtual background contest. Prizes will be awarded for creativity.

Bring your own groggers to drown out Haman’s names during our Megillah reading. There will be lots of music and dancing. Call the synagogue office at 913-642-6460 to get the Zoom link.
