MLK interfaith service scheduled for Jan. 10 The Jewish Community Relations Bureau|AJC and Southern Christian Leadership Conference will hold their annual Martin Luther King Jr. interfaith service on 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10. It is a virtual event that will be streamed on the JCRB|AJC Facebook page. Guest Speakers are Rabbi Michael Zedek and the Rev. Dr. Traci Blackmon. Zedek is emeritus rabbi at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah and Congregation Emmanual in Chicago. He is also senior vice president of the North American Board of Rabbis. Blackmon is executive minister of justice & witness ministries of the United Church of Christ. The recipients of the 2021 Evelyn Wasserstrom Award are: Jim Nunnelly, Tara Raghuveer, and Operation Breakthrough. Music will be performed by the KC Boys Choir/ KC Girls Choir, Hazzan Tahl Ben-Yehuda, and Tim Whitmer and Millie Edwards.
