The community is invited to hear Te Deum, a Kansas City-based sacred music choral ensemble, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah during “Rare Sounds: An Evening with Te Deum” at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24, in the synagogue’s chapel.
The program will feature works by Salomone Rossi, a Jewish Italian violinist and composer who lived during the late 16th and early 17th centuries. Rossi was an influential musician whose work spanned the late Renaissance and early Baroque periods.
The evening will also include song from B’nai Jehudah’s Laura Payne and Congregation Beth Torah’s Lezlie Zucker.
The performance is sponsored by the Michael Klein Collection. A dessert reception will follow.
