The Greater Kansas City Section of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) is selling honey for the High Holidays.

(Rosh Hashanah starts on the evening of Friday, Sept. 11.)

The honey can be bought as a gift for friends, families or clients. NCJW will send a festively-wrapped eight-ounce bottle of honey and a special holiday greeting with an explanation of the significance of this tradition.

Funds raised by the honey sales will go towards NCJW’s programs such as the Back to School Store (which provided 450 students with school supplies and clothing), Stacey’s Closet (which assisted 267 students with needed clothing for school), the Period Project (which gave 2842 students menstrual supply bags) and others to improve the quality of life for women, children and families and safeguard individual rights and freedoms.

All honey orders must be received by Aug. 3.

Orders can be made at kansascity.section.ncjw.org or by contacting Laura Belozer at
