Jewish Federation of Kansas City is seeking candidates for its development officer position. This position is best suited for someone who is a natural relationship builder and is passionate about building and sustaining the Jewish community.
Ideal candidates will be excellent relationship builders and possess strong communication skills and emotional intelligence. They will be results-driven, oriented with a growth mindset and knowledgeable to some degree about fundraising principles, including donor communication, cultivation and stewardship practices.
The development officer will identify, cultivate and steward donor prospects through face-to-face solicitations and phone conversations. In addition, this individual will engage in community activities and serve as a leadership role model for others in the community.
Key responsibilities include working closely with the marketing team to maximize engagement at events and programs, develop and implement events and programs throughout the year, and managing and growing a portfolio of donors.
