The community is invited to the annual board installation and award ceremony of the Greater Kansas City Section of the National Council of Jewish Women on June 7, in the Plaza Room of the Matt Ross Community Center (8101 Marty St, Overland Park, KS 66204).
RSVP to the . Following the awards presentation, two guest speakers will lead a discussion about breast cancer and genetic risk among Jewish women. Julie Rudman, a breast cancer survivor, is the founder and executive director of The Breast Cancer Club, a nonprofit for the Kansas City breast cancer community. Becky Koren, LCSW, is Sharsheret’s Midwest Outreach Program coordinator. As the only Jewish breast and ovarian cancer organization, Sharsheret provides support and education to those impacted by these cancers or at increased genetic risk.
