Dr. Richard Hellman, board certified endocrinologist and internal medicine physician, will speak to the Jewish Unforgettable Ladies Interested in Eating Together (JULIETs) about osteoporosis in seniors.

The event will be held on Sunday, April 26, at 12:30 p.m. Location will be provided upon reservation, which can be done by emailing Susie Klinock at by Thursday, April 23.

Dr. Hellman’s career includes private practice for 41 years as well as teaching. He developed programs for medical students and residents, and he has done research in the field of diabetes. He has also done volunteer work as a physician. He has won many awards in teaching and was a clinical professor at the Kansas City School of Medicine. He has spoken many times both locally and internationally. 

His awards include the Outstanding Endocrinology Lifetime Achievement Award from the Kansas City Medical Society and Outstanding Clinical Endocrinologist Award from the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. 

All Jewish women (and women of other faiths who have a Jewish spouse) are invited to this free event. No synagogue affiliation is required to attend, and attendees should arrive 15 minutes early.
