Village Shalom has announced a public request for proposals (RFP) seeking qualified vendors for a major upgrade to its video surveillance and security technology across its campus.

This project is made possible through supplemental funding awarded to Village Shalom by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

Village Shalom officials say this investment represents an important step in strengthening campus safety for residents, families, staff and the entire community.

“We are incredibly thankful and excited to have been approved for this Homeland Security grant,” said Hope Howe, Village Shalom’s development manager. “This funding allows us to move forward with critical enhancements that support the safety, security and peace of mind of everyone who walks onto our campus. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with vendors who share our commitment to protecting our community.”

The RFP outlines requirements for expanding and modernizing video surveillance capabilities, including updated hardware, improved coverage and enhanced system integration. Qualified security technology vendors are encouraged to review the full RFP and submit proposals during the open submission window.

A mandatory site walkthrough must be completed by Dec. 20. Proposals must be submitted by Jan. 3, 2026.
