Esther Rivkah Tiechtel

Nechama and Rabbi Zalman Tiechtel announce the birth Nov. 20 of a daughter, Esther Rivkah. They are also the parents of Mina, Mendel, Yosef Meir, Levi, Yisroel and Sima.

Grandparents are Rabbi Shlomo and Shana Tiechtel of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Rabbi Sender and Chana Kagan of Miami, Fla.

 

Mckenna Caroline Lewis

Jay and Kim Lewis announce the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Mckenna Caroline, at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 13, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.

Mckenna is the granddaughter of Stuart Lewis of Prairie Village and the late Hilary Lewis, and Ron and Sheryl Davidow.

Relatives and friends are invited to the Kiddush luncheon following the service.

 

Bret and Emily Rosenthal

Bret Rosenthal and Emily Cruse were married on Oct. 24 at the Beverly Hills, California Courthouse. Attending were parents and siblings.

Bret is the son of Aleta and Rich Rosenthal of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Overland Park. Emily is the daughter of Dianne and Jim Cruse of Santa Monica, Calif.

The couple will honeymoon in the spring. They live and work in the Los Angeles area.

 

Sam Fine

Jill and Michael Fine announce the Bar Mitzvah of their son, Sam, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 29, at Congregation Beth Torah.

Sam is the grandson of Diane and Larry Fine of St. Louis, Mo., and Joan and Wade Wilkerson of Chesterfield, Mo.

Sharon and Alan Poisner

Sharon Lowenstein and Alan Poisner were married Sunday, Oct. 26, at Village Shalom. The bride was accompanied by her son Glenn Lowenstein, Houston, Texas, and the best man was Larry Poisner, brother of the groom. The flower girls were Ari and Alex Lowenstein, Brooklyn, N.Y., granddaughters of the bride.

Halle is the granddaughter of Dolores Kessler, Shirley and Mort Hurst and the late Harold Kessler.
