The children and grandchildren of M. J.  (Maynard) Rosenbloom announce that he will celebrate his Bar Mitzvah Sheni at Shabbat morning services at Congregation Ohev Sholom on Saturday, June 29. Services begin at 9:30 a.m. at Ohev, which is located at 75th & Nall, Prairie Village.

A Bar Mitzvah Sheni is a second coming of age 70 years after the first Bar Mitzvah took place at age 13.

The family asks that no presents or gifts of any kind be sent. Some have made contributions to The Children’s Place, 2 E. 59th Street, Kansas City, MO, 64113, which is a child advocacy organization whose purpose is healing of the youngest survivors of abuse, neglect or trauma. Charles and Lori Siegel of Kansas City, Mo., are pleased to announce the engagement of their son, Mark Joseph Siegel, to Sara Jean Olson, daughter of Todd and Heather Olson of Eagan, Minn.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Bert and Jean Bertram and Jane Olson and the late Ken Olson. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in biology. She is currently employed at Lake Nona Management Group in Orlando, Fla.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Dave and Ada Siegel and the late Stan and Ruthine Simon. He attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology, with honors. He was a member of the University Marching Band and freshman crew team. He is currently a student at the University of Central Florida College of Medicine in Orlando.

An early summer 2015 wedding in Minneapolis at the Nicolette Island Pavilion is planned.

Barbara and Jeffrey Novorr announce the Bar Mitzvah of their son, Jonathan Daniel, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.

Jonathan is the grandson of Larry and Ev Gelb, the late Charlene Gelb, and Rick and Barbara Novorr. Great-grandparents are Marge and Howard Novorr and Ruth Mayer.

Elizabeth Rachel Weprin and Naftali “Tali” Rosenthal were married June 2 at LaPlaya Beach Resort, Naples, Fla.

The bride is the daughter of Meryl and Larry Weprin of Columbus, Ohio, and the granddaughter of Chuck Weprin.

The groom is the son of Brenda and Howard Rosenthal of Overland Park and the grandson of Paul and Elizabeth Rosenthal and Patricia Fogelson of Phoenix.

The maid of honor was Maya Fishbein of Sacramento, Calif. The best man was Daniel Rosenthal of Overland Park.

Bridal attendants were Leah Haberfield, Sacramento; Rachel Levy, Toronto; Lauren Weintraub, Los Angeles; Karen Baruch, Los Angeles; and Carly Myles, Columbus.

After a honeymoon in Costa Rica, the couple reside in Cleveland, Ohio, where the bride will be attending dental school at Case Western Reserve Dental School.

Julianne and Jonathan Klinger announce the birth April 7 of a son, Roman Conrad Klinger. They are also the parents of Eleanor Raine.

Grandparents are Sandra and Joel Leibsohn, Adrienne Klinger of France and Simon Klinger of England. Great-grandmother is Mimi Maslan.

Ruth (Gitomer) and Allan Bell were married in Miami Beach on June 16, 1963, five days after they graduated together from the University of Miami, in Coral Gables, Fla. They went all over Europe for a five-week honeymoon, thanks to Allan’s rock ’n roll theatrical agency that he started at Southwest High School in 1955. The couple then moved to Kansas City. Allan graduated from the University of Tulsa Law School in 1967.

The Bells have a daughter, Allison Pilgrim, a senior magazine editor, married to Michiel Pilgrim, a WNET producer, residing in Jersey City, N.J., with their daughter Sylvia Pilgrim, age 10. The Bells’ son, Jeffery Stewart Bell, an immigration attorney with Polsinelli, is married to Marla Rabicoff Bell, also a Polsinelli attorney. They have two children: Jacob Stewart Bell, age 16, and Sophie Bell, age 11.

Allan is the founder of Allan H. Bell & Associates, which has specialized in all types of immigration law since 1967. Ruth works part time with Allan. They have also operated a travel agency, ABC Travel, since 1970, well known for large group travel.

The Bells are active golfers at Meadowbrook Country Club and also longtime members of Kehilath Israel Synagogue.

Ruth and Allan will celebrate at yia yia’s on June 29 with a group of close friends of 40-plus years. A family celebration is planned for late August.
