She graduated from the University of Kansas with honors, with degrees in journalism and communication studies and is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She is currently employed as an account manager at Lockton Companies.

The future groom is the grandson of Jeanne and the late John Maxwell and Bud and the late Anne Ball. He graduated from the University of Kansas with degrees in finance and information systems technology. He is currently employed as a business analyst at a private equity firm.

Roz and Fred Goodman of Leawood announce the engagement of their son, Michael Edward Goodman, to Antoniette June Fortner, daughter of Verna Fortner and the late George Fortner of Junction City, Kan.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Phyllis Guise and the late Clara and Dolphis Senesac. She attended Washburn University and earned a degree in radiologic technology. She is currently employed at St. Luke’s Hospital in Kansas City.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Rebecca and Julius Shoob and the late Anncy and Shale Goodman. He attended the University of Kansas and received a bachelor’s degree in communications. He is currently vice president of operations at Goody Tickets, LLC in Overland Park.

Judith and Laurence Mayer of Overland Park announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Michelle Mayer, to James Edward Reidy Jr., son of James and Mary Reidy of South Bend, Ind.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Martha Cohn and the late Sidney Cohn and Louise Rosenberg and the late Jules Mayer and the late Joseph Rosenberg. She attended Indiana University, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in nutrition and dietetics and completed her internship at Emory University in Atlanta. She is currently employed as the program coordinator of the diabetes education department at the University of Illinois in Chicago.

The future groom is the grandson of the late Beatrice and Joseph Loftus, the late William Murray, and the late Bernadette and John Reidy. He attended Purdue University and earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree. He returned to Robert Morris College in Chicago and earned an associate’s degree in nursing. He is currently employed as a registered nurse at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Mishawaka, Ind.
