Dr. Larry and Roberta Rosen of Leawood announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Rosen, to Isaac Chopp, son of Doris Chopp and the late Jacob Chopp of Leawood.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Judge Louis Davis and the late France Davis and Marion and Joe Rosen, Overland Park. She attended Boston University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in history and religion and earned a master’s degree in education at Rockhurst University. She is a member of Delta Gamma sorority. She is currently employed as a communication arts and reading teacher at Oxford Middle School in the Blue Valley School District.

The future groom is the grandson of Alice Seltzer and the late David Seltzer of Huntington Beach, Calif., and Fanny Chopp and the late Willie Chopp of Mexico City, Mexico. He attended Arizona State University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in business management. He is a member of Theta Chi fraternity. He is currently employed at McQueeny-Locke in Kansas City, Mo., as a sales consultant.

A July 21 wedding in Kansas City is planned.

Richard and Sherrill Rosenstock celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in style the weekend of Feb. 4 and 5. Their two sons, Allan and David, along with their wives, Jackie and Sandy, and five grandchildren planned a week- end filled with food, fun, family and friends.

The weekend began with lunch at Trofie’s at the Doubletree, hosted by two lifelong friends of the couple, Mrs. Robert Sanditz and Mrs. Peter Dale. The luncheon gave the couple a chance to be with immediate family and out of town guests. That evening, Allan and Jackie and their children hosted a night of Italian cooking and fun.

Sunday morning, the grand affair and brunch at Avenues Bistro was hosted by David, Sandy and their children, Rachel and Lauren; and Allan, Jackie and their children, Ashly, Lizzy and Nicky.

Friends and family from in-town and out-of town were there to celebrate 50 years of building a life together. A slide show filled with memories and fashion trends called “Time of Your Lives” brought much laughter and re-telling of wonderful stories.

On Feb. 4, 1962, Richard G. Rosenstock married Sherrill Sixta at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah. The couple were married by Rabbi Bernie Frank and Rabbi James Rudin. They have been living happily ever after ever since.

Meagon Nicole Marshall and Michael Eric Levitz were married Nov. 25, at Makena Surf Beach in Wailea, Hawaii.

The bride is the daughter of Steven and Jo Baumann and Deb and Lynn Purcell of Ames, Iowa. The bride studied journalism at Iowa State University. She is employed as a sales manager at The Code Project. The new family also includes the bride’s two children, Keelan and Amaya.

The groom is the son of Ken and Meryl Levitz of Overland Park. The groom earned his Master of Science degree in education at the University of Kansas. He is currently coaching and completing insurance licensure in the state of Kansas.

The couple reside in Lawrence and plan to have a celebration reception for friends and family in the fall.

Jon and Cindy Orenstein of Denver announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Hoffberg Orenstein, to Jeffrey Samuel Stolper, son of Dan and Jennie Stolper of Overland Park.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Irwin and the late Rhoda Hoffberg of Denver and Babette and the late Jacques Orenstein of Oklahoma City. She graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University, New Orleans, with majors in Spanish and international relations. She is a member of Sigma Delta Tau sorority and an alumna of Teach for America. She is a Spanish teacher at Pleasant Ridge Middle School in the Blue Valley School District.

The future groom is the grandson of Bob and Ellie Navran of Leawood and Philip and Nancy Stolper of Muskogee, Okla. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Kansas State University with majors in accounting and finance. He is a member of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and served as its president. He also earned a master’s degree in accounting from Kansas State University. He is a certified public accountant with CBIZ/Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C. in Leawood.

The couple met as staff members at Shwayder Camp in Idaho Springs, Colo. A summer wedding is planned.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Gloria Fry and the late Alvin Fry and Peggy Moser and Warren Moser. She attended Colorado State University, earning a degree in human development and family studies, with an emphasis on early childhood education. She is currently an educator with the North Kansas City School District in Kansas City, Mo.

The future groom is the grandson of Paul Satz and the late Esther Satz and the late Irvin and Becky Alper. He attended the University of Colorado-Boulder, earning a degree in journalism. He is currently employed in sales at New Belgium Brewing Co. of Fort Collins, Colo.

A June 23 wedding in Steamboat Springs, Colo., is planned.
