Grant Ellenberg is a freshman business major at the University of Arkansas. He was recently awarded the Balanced Man Scholarship from the Arkansas Alpha Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity. This scholarship recognizes students whose academic performance, achievements and extracurricular activities are consistent with the fraternity ideals of developing a sound mind and body. Ellenberg was the top recipient and the scholarship was presented at a banquet at the Historic Inn at Carnall Hall on Aug. 19. Grant is the son of Steve and Denise Ellenberg and a recent graduate of Blue Valley North High School.

Lois and Les Zerman, formerly of Overland Park, celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary a little early with their family on a cruise to the Bahamas. Their anniversary was Aug. 24.

The couple now live in The Villages, Fla.
