Mackenzie Sales, daughter of Jennifer Savage Sales and Adam Sales, will become a bat mitzvah on Saturday, Dec. 16, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah.
Mackenzie is a seventh grader at Oxford Middle School and plays viola in the school orchestra. She plays soccer and volleyball, does gymnastics, swims competitively during the summer, and has run with Girls on the Run for the past four years. She is also a seamstress and artist. Mackenzie also loves animals, is a pet sitter and loves to go to horse camp in the summer.
Mackenzie attends Kesher and is a Madrichol in Training. For her mitzvah project, Mackenzie organized a drive to collect backpacks and school supplies, which she compiled and donated to KVC to support foster children in the area.
