Shia Isaac Kolb, son of Stephanie Kolb and Alex Kolb, will become a bar mitzvah on Saturday, Oct. 14, at Congregation Beth Torah.
Shia’s grandparents are Sharon and Milton Katz and Shura and Natan Kolb. He has two siblings, Asa and Eli Maker.
Some of his favorite activities include spending time with his family and friends, playing video games (especially NBA 2K), and playing and watching sports, cheering for KC and KU teams. Shia adores animals, spending time with them and caring for them.
For his mitzvah project, Shia chose to take care of animals at Deanna Rose Farmstead because his bar mitzvah Torah portion is Bereshit, the story of creation.
The bar mitzvah ceremony will be followed by a Kiddush luncheon.
