Anne and Brian Scharf announce the bar mitzvah of their son, Charles Paul Scharf, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah on Dec. 11, 2021.
Charles is the grandson of Dr. Daniel Scharf and Miriam Scharf, Braden Rippetoe, and Mary Rippetoe. He is the great-grandson of Eta Mandelberger. He has a sibling, Tommy.
Charles loves basketball, football, skiing, traveling, and spending summers at Camp Sabra.
For his mitzvah project, Charles collected clothes, food and other essentials to donate to The Children’s Place, a local charity that provides support and services to the youngest survivors of abuse and trauma, so that the children there will have what they need as they work to heal.
