Joseph and Jane Martin announce the bar mitzvah of their son, Daniel Nelson Martin, at The Temple, Congregation B’nai Jehudah on November 20, 2021.
Daniel is the grandson of Michael and Sherry Blumenthal of Overland Park, Kansas, and Linda and the late Nelson Martin of Leavenworth, Kansas. He has a sister, Leah, who is 15 years old.
Daniel is a seventh grader at Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy. He enjoys reading, writing, video games, traveling and hanging out with friends. Danny is involved in BBYO Connect.
In addition to his volunteer service during Ma’asim Tovim Camp this summer, Danny chose to focus his efforts to help the homeless — a particular passion of his. His mitzvah project is to collect “grab & go” snacks for the Leavenworth Interfaith Community of Hope Homeless Shelter so visitors can have food to tide them over during daytime hours, when the shelter is closed.
