David and Amanda Palan announce the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Ariel Rinae Palan, at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 8 at Congregation Beth Shalom.
Ariel is the granddaughter of Robert and Barbara Palan; and Tylar and Carol Ann Hecht of Annapolis, Maryland.
Ariel has one sibling, Jacob.

Ariel is a seventh grader at Overland Trail Middle School. In her free time, Ariel does competitive dance and also enjoys tumbling, cooking and baking, making videos and spending time with friends.
For her mitzvah project, Ariel packed food and hygiene boxes at JFS throughout the spring and summer this year, helped stuff holiday bags and delivered food boxes to clients.
