Amy and Peter Shapiro announce the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Emma Florence Shapiro, at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 5, at the White Theatre in the Jewish Community Center. Emma is a member of Congregation Beth Shalom. Emma is the granddaughter of Beth and Jeff Dorfman, Randi and Larry Haith, and Alvin and Patti Shapiro, all of Kansas City. Great-grandparents are Hortense Haith and Babbette Prostok, also of Kansas City. Relatives and friends are invited to worship with the family and to attend the Kiddush luncheon following the service.
