She will spend a year in Florence studying in classrooms and throughout the city. Students will be exposed to a wide variety of international perspectives from guest lecturers along with widening their horizons with visits to museums, historical monuments, archives, libraries and relevant nonprofit institutions.
Schifman will graduate from the University of Kansas in May with Bachelor of Arts degrees in art history and psychology. A native of Topeka, Kansas, she is the daughter of Marjorie Beebe and the late Bradley Schifman, and the granddaughter of Robert and Madeline Schifman of Overland Park.
