UMKC School of Pharmacy held their annual student scholarship awards program, Achievers of Excellence, on Friday, Oct. 20. Receiving the Joe Shalinsky Scholarship was Abby Lueckenotte, a second year pharmacy student located on the Columbia campus. Rahima Hussien, a third year pharmacy student located on the Kansas City campus, received the Leo Shalinsky Scholarship. Arlene Shalinsky represented the family at this year’s awards program. The Joseph Shalinsky Scholarship was established in 1996, and the Leo Shalinsky Scholarship was established in 1999 with the UMKC Pharmacy Foundation.
The Lewis Bratt Scholarship was awarded to Bryan Porter, a first year pharmacy student located on the Springfield campus. Edith Bratt established the Lewis Bratt scholarship in March 2000.
