Dr. Donald and Natalie Cohen of Overland Park, Kan., announce the engagement of their son, Daniel Isaac Cohen, to Michelle Beth Perlmutter, daughter of Bruce and Sandy Perlmutter of La Crosse, Wisc., and Poinciana, Fla.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Rae and Ben Goodstein of Sheboygan, Wisc., and the late Bernard and Eve Perlmutter of La Crosse. She attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in sociology. She is currently employed by the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces.
The future groom is the grandson of the late Dr. Harry K. and Janet Cohen of Kansas City, Mo., and the late Harry and Thelma Goldstein of Fairfield, Conn. He graduated from Hyman Brand Hebrew Academy and Tulane University, and earned a Master of Arts degree in journalism from Columbia College in Chicago. He is currently employed as public relations manager, North America for Beam Global Spirits and Wine in Chicago.
An Oct. 30 wedding in La Crosse is planned.
