Lori and Bruce Hertzfield and Jose and Shannon Pires announce the Bat Mitzvah of their daughter, Rachel Pires, at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, at Congregation Beth Shalom. Rachel is the granddaughter of Clara and Norman Levine and the late Louis and Janice Katzberg. She is also the granddaughter of Margarida Pires and the late Jose Pires of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Great-grandfather is Leon Katzberg. Relatives and friends are invited to worship with the family and attend the Kiddush luncheon following the service.
