Cheryl and Cary Glass of Overland Park announce the engagement of their daughter, Shana Marie Glass of Brooklyn, N.Y., to Ray Bronson West of Brooklyn, son of Karen West and Raymond West of Rhode Island.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Betty Mittelman and the late Geniek Mittelman and the late Pauline and Harry Glass. She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas in psychology and is currently working toward her master’s degree at Brooklyn College in early childhood education.
The future groom is the grandson of Marion Horlbogen and the late Robert Horlbogen and the late Doris and Raymond West. He has a bachelor’s degree in jazz studies from Berklee College of Music and a master’s degree in jazz studies from William Paterson University.
A Sept. 29 wedding is planned in Narragansett, R.I.
