Elizabeth and Paul Uhlmann III announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Bloch Uhlmann, to Wesley Joseph Fehsenfeld, son of Debra Bates Davis of Charleston, S. C., and Joseph Craig Fehsenfeld of Barrington Hills, Ill.
The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Henry and Marion Bloch and Paul Uhlmann Jr. and the late Barbara Uhlmann. She attended Shawnee Mission East High School and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in studio art from College of Charleston. She has her own art business, selling her original oil paintings and note cards. She is also employed with the Nelson Atkins Museum of Art as an assistant art teacher.
The future groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Robert Fehsenfeld and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas John Bates. He attended Barrington High School in Barrington, Ill. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from College of Charleston and a master’s degree in business administration from the UMKC Bloch School of Management, graduating with honors in the Beta Sigma National Honors Society. He is currently employed with The Uhlmann Company.
An Oct. 27 wedding in Charleston, S.C., is planned.
