Jewish Family Services (JFS) is offering a grief therapy group for those identifying as Jewish in the Kansas City area.
Beginning May 7 from 4 to 6 p.m., the group will meet for nine consecutive weeks at The J (5801 W. 115th St., Overland Park, KS 66211).
The group is co-facilitated by JFS therapist and LMSW Amy Povich and Rabbi Mark Levin. Those interested in the group do not have to be a current client of JFS.
Those grieving the loss of a loved one are invited to join the therapy group with a Jewish spiritual context. Participants will go through a set grief curriculum and are asked to attend each week. There is no cost to participate in this group. Registration will close following the second session.
Those wishing to participate should contact JFS Counseling Intake Coordinator Jen Lydon at or (913) 521-4355. More information can be found at jfskc.org.
