Early ordering deadlines for High Holiday Meals-to-Go

Whether you plan to observe the approaching Jewish High Holy Days alone, in person in small groups, or virtually with family and friends, make it special and enjoy a holiday meal together. Skip the preparation and enjoy delicious Shabbat and holiday meals along with Frieda’s Heavenly Challah. Orders are now being accepted for High Holy Day Meals-to-Go and early ordering deadlines should be noted.

Round and plain raisin challah prepared by Bill Shapiro can be purchased online along with Shabbat and holidays meals. The final deadline to order challah is Friday, Sept. 11. Challah pickup will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18.

Erev Rosh Hashanah begins on Friday, Sept. 18, and meal orders must be made by Sept. 11. Curbside meal pickup will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18. Caterer is Kim Matsil of Kim’s Kreations.

Kol Nidre is Sunday, Sept. 27, and those wishing to place meal orders for the Sunday evening meal prior to the beginning of the fast, should order no later than Friday, Sept. 18. Curbside meal pickup will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 25. Meal will be jointly prepared by Cathy Levin of Kosher Connection and Kim Matsil.

If ordering your break-fast meal for Monday, Sept. 28, orders must be received no later than Friday, Sept. 18. Curbside meal pickup will take place from noon to 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 27, and not on Friday. Steve Ellenberg of Ellenberg Experience Catering is the caterer.

Erev Sukkot begins at sundown Friday, Oct. 2. Deadline for ordering your Shabbat/Sukkot meal is Friday, Sept. 25. Curbside pickup is from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 2. Meal will be prepared by Cathy Levin, Kosher Connection.

All meals are prepared under supervision of the Vaad HaKashruth of Kansas City. Menus and pricing can be found on the order page and can be purchased in quantities to serve one or more individuals or a family of four. All food items are packaged in containers suitable for warming in the oven or transfer microwaveable items to a microwave safe container before heating. Simple and clear heating instructions will be included.

Payment for meals and challah is accepted online and by credit card only and orders must be received by the stated deadlines.

When you pick up your meals, drop off a non-perishable food donation for the Jewish Family Service Food Pantry. JFS donation barrels are located near the entrance.

Those who wish may purchase additional meals to go to gift to someone special and/or share a Shabbat or holiday meal with others. Donations in all amounts are welcome.
