Our High Holiday experiences may be different this year, but we can take comfort in the simple traditions that bond us. One of those traditions is sending honey to family and friends.
The National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) announces that Honey for the Holiday may now be ordered for pre-Rosh Hashanah delivery. Rosh Hashanah is Sept. 18. NCJW honey project chair Meg Adler describes the honey jars as the perfect way to send a sweet message of love and care this holiday season.
Festively wrapped, each 8 oz. jar comes with a special New Year’s greeting along with an explanation of honey’s significance as a holiday tradition. Individual jars are $11, which includes shipping and handling.
Order online at kansascity.section.ncjw.org or send a check by Aug. 14, to NCJW Honey Project, c/o Meg Adler, 2244 W. 118th Ter., Leawood, KS, 66211. Include with your check the following information: your full name, phone number and email address; your name as you want it to appear on the gift tags, and a clearly written list of each honey recipient’s name and complete mailing address.
