Dr. Steven and Louise Gruenebaum of Prairie Village announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Nicole Gruenebaum, to Daniel Lee Neuman, son of Clifford and Andrea Neuman of Overland Park. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of the late Dr. Leo and Adele Pollock of Mission Hills, and Herbert Gruenebaum of Overland Park and the late Ruth Gruenebaum.
The bride to be is a graduate of Shawnee Mission East High School and earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in cellular and molecular biology and sociology, cum laude with honors, from Tulane University, New Orleans, Louisiana, Class of 2013. She is a fourth year medical student at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCU). Lauren is planning a residency in the medical specialty of physical medicine and rehabilitation, pursuing a fellowship in interventional spine.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Barnard Barash of Overland Park and the late Judith Barash, and Jack and Thelma Neuman of Chandler, Arizona. Daniel is a graduate of Blue Valley North High School. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in physiology and chemistry, magna cum laude with honors, from University of Arizona, Tucson, Arizona, Class of 2011. Prior to medical school, he worked at University of Kansas Cancer Center and taught general chemistry at Blue Valley North. Currently Daniel is a fourth year medical student at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences (KCU). He is planning a residency in the medical specialty of anesthesiology.
