Joyce Wexler, age 84, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away the morning of July 9, 2023, in Columbus, Ohio. 

Dr. Ben Rubin, Jr., 86, died peacefully at home on July 7, 2023 from complications of COVID-19 and Parkinson’s disease. It was always the “Best Day” of Ben’s life, and he intentionally spread joy and optimism to everyone. He was a humble, dedicated physician who never forgot his roots.

Marianne was born on June 12, 1933, and passed away peacefully on July 4, 2023.  She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. 

Meredith A. Farnan, 80, passed away peacefully on July 6, 2023. Born on Sept. 2, 1942, in Maryville, Missouri, to Mary Willis Farnan and Leo Farnan, Meredith was the oldest sister of seven Farnan children. 

Judith Joyce Laserson, 82, died June 2, 2023, in Naples, Florida. She was born Feb. 7, 1941, the youngest daughter of Elery Stucker and Linnie Aultman, in Kansas City, Missouri.

Barbara Ballmann Katz, 82, of Kansas City, passed away surrounded by family on June 24, 2023, after a courageous fight against leukemia. 

Frances Lee Levitch (nee Waisblum), 101, passed away on May 1, 2023.

Larry Poisner, 92 years old, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2023.

Richard Morris Helzberg passed away unexpectedly on June 2 after an accident while walking his dog near his home in San Geronimo, California. At age 82, Richard was full of exceptional energy and humor, and he loved his life. His favorite Satchel Paige quote is apt: “How old would you be if you didn't know how old you are?”

Joseph S. Lerner, Jr., of Atlanta, Georgia (formerly of Kansas City), a loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on June 6 after a brief illness, surrounded by his family.
